Philippians 4:13NKJV

    I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

 

If you are a Christian then you have all it takes to win because you are not an ordinary person. You are very distinguished and of an inestimable value. When God became a man, this is what He said

“……….I can of mine own self do nothing,………..John 5:30KJV”

He didn’t say, I would of mine own self do nothing. “I can of mine own self do nothing” was the Lord’s statement. If Jesus will produce any good work or fruit, He needed God the Father and the Holy Ghost.

Therefore, for any Christian to think he can do it on his own is to deceive you. We can’t do it on our own. This is why fellowship with the Holy Ghost and the Word of God is very important and key to the Christian journey. No one can live the true Christian life without the Holy Ghost. It’s impossible.

When you hear some Christians complaining about their inability to live the true Christian life, it just means that there is a problem with their fellowship with the Word and the Holy Ghost.

This is why He gives you two key instructions

“Do not get drunk with wine, for that is wickedness (corruption, stupidity), but be filled with the [Holy] Spirit and constantly guided by Him….Ephesians 5:18AMP”

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord……….Colossians 3:16KJV”

It’s the Word and the Holy Spirit. You can be constantly guided by the Holy Ghost. When Paul talks about being filled with the Spirit, he doesn’t suggest the Holy Spirit coming again from Heaven to fill you. He is talking about a stirring up of His power and energies from within you so that your whole Spirit, Soul and Body are filled with the power of the Holy Ghost. You can be replete with the Holy Ghost

You need this as a Christian, every Christian does. When Paul wrote this to the Ephesians, he was not suggesting it to the pastors only but to all the Christians in that church. It is the birthright of every Christian to have such experiences. The problem is that many have not been taught how or if even this is possible.

Now that you have the Holy Ghost dwelling in your inside, it will be totally wrong and borne of ignorance to have an “I can’t do mentality”. The Holy Ghost has made you a champion. It starts by thinking like that and seeing yourself in that light.

There are Christians who like always taking the place of a victim; they always want to take a position of weakness so that people will be sympathetic towards them. This is how they even want to relate with God. Such things don’t please God. You can’t have the Holy Ghost in you and be behaving in such manners

Like Paul, you have all it takes to win. You should also say

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. Have the I can mentality.
