your tongue, your life

Proverbs 18:21 NIV
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall
eat the fruit thereof

The creator tells us where life and death proceed from, they proceed from the  tongue. The condition of life you are living now is a product of the words you  have spoken in the past. You may disagree but it doesn’t change the fact that it is true. The life you are going to live in the next five to ten years will be the product  of your communication in the now. The happenings of life is tied to your tongue.  The tongue is the expression of the thoughts of the heart. It is through the tongue  that you release the creative images of the heart. 

This is why you have to renew your mind with God’s Word so you can  communicate righteousness. Yes! Righteousness is a language, it is a  communication. 

Peter says, 

“For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from  evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let  him seek peace, and ensue it.For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous,  and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against  them that do evil…….1 Peter 3:10-12KJV” 

Peter here helps you to understand that righteousness is a language, it is a  communication, the same way evil is. 

You are not going to live long and see good days just because you wish it. It is not  in God’s hands like many assume, it is in your own hands. It lies in your tongue. 

The problem is the average christian doesn’t even know what it means to talk evil.  To him, the speaking of evil is when you curse, insult and are proud. All those are  evil but evil entails more. 

You see the language of the fallen human race is filled with curse, they speak death  without even realizing. It takes God’s wisdom to understand these truths. 

Even the more they become educated, the more they develop the language of death  and the curse. 

First you have to understand what evil is. What is evil? There is a difference  between giving examples of evil and defining evil. What is evil? It’s like asking a  Christian, what is sin? Have you ever defined sin? The popular answer will be 

“Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the  transgression of the law…..1 John 3:4KJV” 

So how was the man who lived before the law going to define sin, how was he  going to define evil? 

The Bible says, 

“For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no  law……..Romans 5:13KJV” 

So we better define sin, we better define evil. Paul makes it easier. He defines sin  for us 

“And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not from faith;  for whatsoever is not from faith is sin……Romans 14:23KJV” 

First, you have to understand that any action or communication which is not from  faith is evil, it is sin. 

So if you want to prolong your life and see good days, talk the faith talk. 

There are some of you Christians who talk fear and sickness, you even speak about  sickness as normal. It is wrong. After five years, you go to the doctor and you are  diagnosed of a terrible disease then you start crying. It was not God, it was you 

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat  the fruit thereof” 

It was the fruit of your evil communication. 

Put God’s wisdom above what you learn in medical school or the university. The other form of evil is the communication void of love

Jesus being wisdom himself defined love in a very unique way. He said 

“Therefore, all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye  even so to them; for this is the Law and the Prophets………Matthew 7:12KJV” 

This is the golden rule. How you communicate and treat people, would you be  happy if the same things were said about you, your children , your husband, wife,  mother, father etc. You forgot that the person too was someone’s child, someone’s  mother, his wife, her husband, her father, her brother. 

There are some of you Christian women who like insulting the personality of other  humans, their looks and appearance. Be wise! You are calling home death and  suffering. Why invite death and suffering to your home and after blame it on the  will of God. Be wise! 

There are some people who gets inflicted with certain diseases which never cures no  matter the treatment just because of this. Their lives becomes that of persistent  suffering.  

He says, 

“ For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from  evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let  him seek peace, and ensue it.For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous,  and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against  them that do evil…….1 Peter 3:10-12KJV”
