By Apostle Alex Adusei Agyemang Psalms119:89KJV Forever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven When the Spirit through the psalmist reveals this important truth that God’s Word is forever settled in heaven, it means the Word is the only way out when it comes to God He never said the prayer is settled in heaven but the “Word” is settled in heaven. The prayer wont matter unless the Word is first in place. Prayer can only be weaponized by God’s Word. God’s Word will never change and neither are you going to get God to have a different position from what His Word says in that trouble you find yourself in . The Psalmist was a smart and wise guy, because he very well understood the import of the statement that the Spirit had revealed to him which says, “For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven…..Psalm 119:89KJV” He went on to say, “Unless thy law had been my delights, I should then have perished in mine affliction…. Psalm 119:92KJV” This is wisdom; If God is never going to change His mind from what His Word says then I better stick to His Word when in affliction. This only becomes my sure hope. This is what the Psalmist is saying. The ignorance of this is what cost many wonderful Christians. They think because they cried and prayed that their brother should come off the deathbed. They think because they prayed, that the Pastor shouldn’t die. No! You have to understand and find out what His Word says in that case. What did He say you should do and if prayer, how did He say you should pray? Wisdom says, “Hold fast to instruction, let her not go; keep her, for she is thy life….. Proverbs 4:13KJV” The instruction of God’s Word is your life. Again, He says “He who turns away his ear from hearing instruction, even his prayer will be an abomination…. Proverbs 28:9MEV” How many abominable prayers have many prayed? This is why I teach the Word of God, this is why I am so adamant about God’s Word When it comes to God, it is not just because we prayed. You ought to have a better understanding of the situation and follow what His Word says. Prayer is very important but not without the Word of God. “Forever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven…..Psalm 119:89KJV” God bless you!
